HC raps TS for freezing AP accounts

Hyderabad, Aug 13: The Hyderabad High Court has criticised the Telangana Intermediate Board and State Bank of India (SBI) for freezing bank accounts of Andhra Pradesh Intermediate Board. A petition filed by AP Intermediate Board seeking directions to SBI to permit it to operate its bank accounts, came up for hearing in the High Court yesterday. According to reports, the AP Board's bank accounts were frozen as per the request of the TS Board. The court asked TS Board not to act in haste as the issue involves interests of hundreds of students. The court pulled up the TS Board secretary for writing a letter to the bank to freeze accounts.
