AP Express (A/c) flagged off
Hyderabad, August 12: Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu flagged off the Andhra Pradesh (AP) Express with a remote from New Delhi on Wednesday morning. The train took off from Visakhapatnam at 6.40 am and will reach New Delhi on Thursday evening.
The train will have all A/c compartments. The AP Express ( A/c) train will run on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from Delhi to Visakhapatnam. While the train runs from Vizag to Delhi on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
Union ministers Venkaiah Naidu, Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Sujana Choudhary and MPs from the State and others participated in the event. Meanwhile, AP Ministers and MLAs flagged off the inaugural train at Vizag.
The AP Express will stop at Duvvada, Anakapalle, Samalkot Junction, Rajahmundry, Tadepalligudem and Eluru, taking 36.05 hours to cover the 2099 km distance.
On the other hand, the AP Express presently running from Hyderabad to New Delhi has been renamed as Telangana Express.
