56 donkeys held for smuggling

Mumbai, Aug 03: Legislative houses are known for serious debates and heated arguments between the opposition and ruling parties. But Maharashtra Legislative Assembly burst into laughter when Revenue Minister Eknath Khadse informed the members that 56 donkeys were arrested on the charges of smuggling sand from Chandrabhaga river in the state. The Minister further said that the government is providing food and other facilities to the arrested donkeys. He said that officials were making all efforts to trace the owners of the animals. The comments of MLAs on the incident made everyone to burst into laughter.
