Committee submits report on Rishiteswari suicide

Hyderabad, August 2: The inquiry committee on Sunday submitted its report on the suicide of Nagarjuna University Architecture student Rishikeswari. Committee chairman Balasubrahmanyam submitted the report to AP Minister for Education Ganta Srinivas Rao. They discussed the Rishiteswari suicide incident. Later speaking, Minister Ganta said action will be taken on the accused once the complete report on this incident comes out. The time limit of the committee was extended for one more week. The committee asked for one more week time as the university was closed for holidays. Due to dearth of High Court sitting Judges, IAS officer was appointed for the inquiry, Ganta said. Rishiteswari, B.Arch first year student of ANU allegedly committed suicide due to seniors' harassment.
