Rahul determined to get special status to AP

Hyderabad, August 2: Determined to fight for the special status to Andhra Pradesh, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi suggested PCC president N Raghuveera Reddy to prepare plan of action. Speaking with Raghuveera over phone from Delhi, Rahul said 'let us pressurise the central government and hold agitations.' There is no question of compromise on this issue, he added. "YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy declared of holding a dharna at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on August 10 only after I criticised him." Rahul questioned why Jagan hadn't put pressure on the State and Central governments for the past one year. Rahul felt that Modi was afraid of Andhra Pradesh developing as the number one State in the country if special status is given. Rahul will sit with Rajya Sabha Member Chiranjeevi, KVP Ramachandra Rao, JD Seelam, Digvijay Singh and K Raju on Monday and will finalise the plan for the fight.
