Steps being taken to free four kidnapped Indians

Hyderabad, July 31: The Ministry of external affairs spokesman, Vikas Swarup, said that steps are being taken to release the four Indians alleged to be kidnapped by Islamic State terrorists. The four Indian teachers were returning to India via Tripoli and Tunis and were kidnapped in Libya. Of the four, two are from Hyderabad and Srikakulam, one from Raichur and another from Bengaluru. Three are working as lecturers in an university and the fourth one is working at Sirth University in Jufra. Vikas said that the Indian Embassy at Tripoli is gathering information about the incident. As per information received, the four abducted Indians were brought back to Sirth. He said they are in touch with the families of the kidnapped and taking all steps to get them released.
