Telcos submit phone-call data in Vijayawada court

Vijayawada, July 31: Four telecom service providers today appeared before the Vijayawada Metropolitan Court here and submitted phone-call data to it in sealed covers. The judge directed the telecom companies representatives to give a note file on details of the content in sealed covers. But the telcos counsel quoted Supreme Court argued that there was no need give a note file on the information. The court will send the covers to High Court Registrar through a messenger. It may be noted that SIT probing phone-tapping cases filed petition in the court seeking phone call data. The Telangana government moved the High Court and obtained a stay on the trial court order.
