Tirumala temple tank remains closed from tomorrow

Tirumala/Hyderabad, July 30: The temple tank of Tirumala temple will be closed for one month, starting from Saturday (August 1). The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) said in a statement that the Pushkarini Harati, performed everyday evening, is also temporarily suspended. According to the TTD, annual Brahmotsavams will be held from September 16 to 24 and Navarathri Brahmotsavams from October 14 to 22 at Tirumala. Repairs, if any, will be taken up along with beautification works of the temple tank every year. In this context, the repair works of the temple tank will commence from Saturday, hence devotees will not be allowed. As an alternate, TTD has arranged bathrooms on the west side of the Pushkarini.
