TS releases Rs 2,043 crore for farm loan waiver

Hyderabad, July 30: The Telangana State government today released Rs 2,043 crore towards farm loan waiver. The state government has planned to implement crop loan waiver scheme in a phased manner. Last year, the government had released funds for the crop loan waiver of 25 per cent farmers in the state. It may be noted that the government released Rs 2,043 crore 20 days ago also. This year the government sanctioned Rs 2,043 crore each in two phases to waive loans of 25 per cent farmers and with this the government meets half the target. The government will waive loans of the remaining 50 per cent farmers in the next two years.
