Changes in computer, tatkal rail bookings
Hyderabad, July 24: The Indian Railways made latest change regarding computer and tatkal train reservations. The new rules will come into effect from September 1.
Passengers have to show the same ID proof to the ticket collector (TC) which they mentioned while booking reservations under tatkal scheme. If the passengers fail to show the same ID proof, they will be treated as ticket-less and will be fined.
But now the railways had changed this system and stated that there is no need that the ID card used for booking tickets and the one to be shown to the TC must be the same. The passengers can show any one of the ID cards like - voter ID card; passport; pan card; driving license; ID cards issued by state and central governments; school and college ID cards; credit card with photo; aadhaar card; ID cards issued by recognised institutions of state and central governments, municipalities, panchayats and others. But they must show original card.
