Passengers lock train doors from inside

Hyderabad, July 18: For about 40 minutes commotion took place at Medchal railway station on Saturday morning. With this, the Pushkaralu special train left the station 40 minutes behind the schedule. South Central railway arranged special trains for pilgrims going to Pushkaralu. But the pilgrims rush has been increasing with each day. Especially today, due to two-day holidays on the weekend, there was more rush. In this situation, a Pushkar special train started from Malkajgiri station at about 6.30 am on Saturday and reached Medchal station. The passengers were shocked to see the train doors closed. They asked the passengers inside the train to open the doors but they declined their request. Some passengers tried to broke open the doors. While some others warned the station master not to move the train until they get into the train. Even the station master's efforts to cajole the passengers to open the doors went futile. At last police entered and after half-an-hour trials they succeeded in getting the train doors opened.
