Govt trying to hide facts on stampede: Botsa

Hyderabad, July 17: YSRCP leader Botsa Satyanarayana alleged that TDP government was trying to hide facts on stampede incident in Rajahmundry. Speaking to the media here, Botsa demanded Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to own up moral responsibility for the incident and quit. Botsa said the crowds swelled as devotees were not allowed into the ghat for several hours in view of the holy bath of Chandrababu Naidu and filming of a documentary by director Boyapati Srinu. The police and officials posted at the ghat were in service of the CM instead of controlling crowds, he added. He demanded the government to initiate action against those responsible for the incident.
