SIT probes on phone tapping in Vizag

Visakhapatnam, July 12: The Special Investigation Team (SIT), set up by the government to investigate into phone tapping case, had made inquiries in Visakhapatnam on Saturday. The SIT examined the phone tapping cases, registered with six police stations in the district and at three-town police station in Vizag city. It questioned complainants at Kailasagiri district police guest house and recorded their statements. A complaint was given to the police on June 8 that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Opposition leader in AP Assembly YS Jaganmohan Reddy, MLA Stephenson, Hyderabad ACB officials, Sakshi news media and Telangana news media have tapped the phone of AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Following this complaints, cases were filed at Narsipatnam, Yelamanchili, Anakapalli, Payakaraopet, Paderu and Chodavaram police stations and three-town police station in Vizag city. The SIT came to the city to find out the details of the cases. It came to know that only four complainants attended for the inquiry.
