Former Minister Dokka to join YSRCP

Guntur, July 11: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad will be joining YSR Congress Party on July 13. Dokka worked as Minister in the Cabinet of former Chief Ministers late YS Rajasekhara Reddy, Rosaiah and Kiran Kumar Reddy. For the past few months Dokka is staying away from the Congress party activities. He represented Tadikonda Assembly constituency for two terms. He was in the group of Rayapati Sambasiva Rao and there were rumours that he will join TDP but he did not contest in 2014 general elections. In the wake of changing political scenario in the State, Dokka decided to join YSRCP. It may be noted that another senior Congress leader Botsa Satyanarayana joined YSRCP few days ago.
