Chandrababu speaks to Musunuru Tehsildar

Hyderabad, July 10: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today called on Musunuru Tehsildar Vanajakshi over phone and inquired about the attack on her and dispute on sand reaches, according to a Telugu television news channel report. It may be noted that Tehsildar Vanajakshi was allegedly assaulted by the followers for stopping illegal sand quarrying at Balive village in Krishna district. Meanwhile, Revenue officials across the district boycotted their duties, locked offices and staged a protest in front of Vijayawada Sub-Collector office. They demanded the immediate arrest of Denduluru MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar and his followers who were involved in the attack. Sources said that Chandrababu directed Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao and Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamshi Mohan to resolve the issue. AP NGOs were in talk with Tehsildar Vanjakshi when reports last came in.
