TS govt iftar party deferred to July 12
Hyderabad, July 6: The Telangana State government's officials iftar party was postponed from July 8 to July 12.
Disclosing the news, Deputy Chief Minister Mahamood Ali said this was because the entire government administration was busy with Haritha Haaram programme.
He said arrangements were going on for the iftar party at Nizam College grounds on July 12, and they were expecting 6,000 to 7,000 guests.
The State government had released Rs 26 crores for the Ramzan festival.
Meanwhile, arrangements were going on, on a war footing for the iftar parties to be given in 100 masjids within Greater Hyderabad limits and one masjid each in every constituency.
Rs two lakhs would be spent for each masjid. Besides clothes would be distributed to 1.96 lakh poor Muslim people and tenders would be called for this, the Deputy CM said.
