Female trainee police officer kills self in MP

Bhopal, July 6: A female trainee police sub-inspector on Monday committed suicide in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar district. She was selected through the Madhya Pradesh Vyavsayik Pareeksha Mandal (Vyapam), police said. Anamika Kushwaha was posted as a trainee at the Jawaharlal Nehru Training Centre at Sagar. "The training centre is situated near a pond in which she jumped to death early Monday. We have recovered the body. The reason for her suicide is not clear yet," a police official told IANS. Superintendent of Police Sachin Atulkar, however, denied any connection of Anamika's death with the raging Vyapam scam. More than 40 people associated with the admission and recruitment racket in Vyapam or the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board have died since 2013 - either in mysterious circumstances or have committed suicides.
