Prez visits Yadadri

Nalgonda/Hyderabad, July 5: President Pranab Mukherjee was given a grand welcome by Governor ESL Narasimhan and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao at Yadadri on Sunday. The temple priests welcomed the President as per temple rituals. The President had Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy darshan in the temple and presented 'silk vastrams' to the God and Goddess. He performed special pujas on the occasion. Later, vedic pundits gave 'asirvachanam' to Pranab Mukherjee. General, special darshans and also arjitha sevalu were stopped till 2 pm on this occasion. Vowing to the President's visit, the temple in Yadadri was virtually covered under security blanket on Sunday morning. Large number of security personnel were deployed on the temple premises. Temple staff, who were on duty in the morning only, allowed to enter the temple shrine.
