300 youth held for bike-racing on Necklace Road

Hyderabad, July 5: The police today arrested 300 youth who were involved in bike racing on the busy Necklace Road in Hyderabad. On the basis of complaints lodged by pedestrians, police carried the raids and nabbed the youth. The police shifted them to Gopalapuram Police Station and seized 300 bikes from them. The police counselled the youth and noted down their addresses. It may be noted that on Sundays a large number of youth visit the Necklace Road to take part in bike races. There were complaints that bike racing is posing threat to the lives of morning walkers and pedestrians who use the road.
