DS to join TRS on July 8

Hyderabad, July 5: PCC former president D Srinivas (DS) will be joining Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) at 4 pm on July 8 at Telangana Bhavan here. Though earlier July 6 was scheduled for his entry into TRS at Nizamabad, the date was postponed to July 8 as Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had to attend a few officials programmes on that day. According to sources, there are chances for the CM to announce the post which would be given to DS. Rajya Sabha elections may be conducted in 2016. In this context, Rajya Sabha seat to DS was under consideration. Reacting to the removal of PCC former presidents' photos in Gandhi Bhavan, D Srinivas said photos can be removed but not the history. 'Even after changing party, Sonia Gandhi pictures will still remain in my house,' he said. TRS chief and TS Chief Minister KCR never talked insultingly of Sonia Gandhi, instead he praised her on many occasions, giving the entire credit of Telangana formation to her.
