Prez coming to Hyderabad today
Hyderabad, June 29: President of India Pranab Mukherjee, for the first time after the formation of Telangana State, is coming to Hyderabad at 2 pm today as part of his annual sojourn.
He will be staying here till July 8. During his 10-day sojourn at the Rashtrapati Nilayam in Bollarum, he will visit Tirupati on July 1 and return to Hyderabad by 4 pm the same day.
Governor ESL Narasimhan and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will welcome the President at the airport.
The CM is then likely to invite the President to take part in the inauguration of Haritha Haram and other programmes that are scheduled on July 3.
President Pranab Mukherjee will participate in a series of programmes here during his stay. He will unveil a book 'Uniki', written by Maharashtra Governor CH Vidyasagar here on July 3. He will inaugurate 'Nakshatra Vatika' at Rashtrapati Nilayam in Bollarum on July 6.
The officials have made strict security arrangements ahead of the President's visit. CC cameras have been installed on the main traffic centres along the road from Hakimpet airport, Bollarum check post circle, Army golf stadium, Defence Ministry lands etc, the road the President convoy will travel.
People with ID cards only would be allowed to pass through this road.
