'Telugu states to compete in development'

Vijayawada, June 27: The Governor will have total powers as long as Hyderabad continues as the joint capital of the two Telugu States, said AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Speaking to the media after the TDP meeting at Vijayawada on Saturday, he expressed his concern over the sudden suspension of electricity employees belonging to AP and said it was wrong and unfair. He sought the Governor and Central government intervention in doing justice to the suspended employees. He said they were talking about implementation of section 8, one year after bifurcation. He criticised that the Telangana government has been indulging in fights often over petty issues. Naidu said he hopes for a healthy fight between the two Telugu States over development.
