Verdict on Stephenson's petition postponed to Monday
Hyderabad, June 25: Decision on 'not before me' petition filed by nominated MLA Stephenson has been postponed to Monday. Both the parties presented their arguments before the high court on Thursday.
Stephenson alleged that the judge issued stay orders on the arrest of Mathaiah, A-4 accused in the cash-for-vote case without proper enquiry and filed a petition alleging that justice will not be done if the same judge continues. He requested to change the bench. This petition came up for hearing on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Telangana Advocate General clarified that the Telangana government has nothing to do with the petition filed by MLA Stephenson. All the points mentioned in the petition are the personal opinions of Stephenson and the State government has no objection on the court's verdict, he said.
