Mathaiah pleads innocence
Vijayawada, June 23: Jerusalem Mathaiah, fourth accused in cash-for-vote scam, appealed to the ACB officials to remove his name from the case.
Speaking to the media here, Mathaiah said that his name was not mentioned in the statement given by TRS MLA Elvis Stephenson before the court.
Mathaiah questioned the motive of Stephenson in meeting TRS Chief and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao before and after giving the statement. He termed the statement as a story concocted by KCR.
He refuted the reports that AP police and TDP leaders provided shelter to him. He demanded the ACB officials to take a serious note of the discrepancies in the statement of Stephenson and file cases.
