AP, TS police have jurisdiction over Hyderabad: Attorney-General

Hyderabad, June 22: Attorney-general Mukul Rohatagi has opined that both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana police have jurisdiction over Hyderabad as per Section-8 of AP State Reorganisation Act- 2014. Mukul Rohatagi has also advised the Governor ESL Narasimhan to monitor probe in Cash-for-vote scam in which TDP MLA Revanth Reddy was arrested. It may be noted that Governor has sought the opinion of Attorney-General recently. The Advocate-General said that Governor can summon the police from the two states to monitor the investigation of the case. The Attorney-General office in a press release said that the suggestions were given orally.
