TDP MLA Veeraiah fails to appear before ACB

Hyderabad, June 19: TDP MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah today failed to turn up before the Anti-Corruption Bureau for questioning in connection with the cash-for-vote scandal. It may be noted that ACB officials issued notice to Veeraiah on Tuesday asking him to appear before them on for before Friday. Veeraiah has expressed his inability to appear before ACB citing health reasons. In a letter written to the ACB ASP Malla Reddy, Veeraiah said that he was undergoing treatment for back pain at a hospital and assured that he would extend full cooperation to the investigation. He mentioned that doctors advised him to take bed rest for 10 days. Meanwhile, as per reports in the local media, ACB has not received Veeraiah’s letter so far.
