IG appointed for Godavari Pushkaralu

Hyderabad, June 18: The Andhra Pradesh government has appointed Special Officer Harish Kumar Gupta as Inspector General of Police (IG) to monitor the security issues during the ensuing Godavari Pushkaralu. The orders affecting his appointment were issued on Wednesday. The AP government is taking all steps to provide all facilities to the pilgrims who visit Rajahmundry for the auspicious occasion. Pilgrim mobility stations, operation of free buses in Rajahmundry town, improvement of better facilities at major bus stations in the district, placement of swimmers with ID cards at the ghats, hygienic toilets, drinking water, food, sanitation, medical services, waiting shelters etc were made. Godavari Pushkaralu will commence from July 14 and conclude on July 25.
