Telangana Intelligence IG goes on leave

Hyderabad, June 17: Telangana Intelligence chief Shivadhar Reddy has gone on leave and the State government gave the charge to Hyderabad Police Commissioner Mahender Reddy. Shivadhar Reddy’s leave at a time when AP government is mulling action over the alleged phone-tapping of Chandrababu and others by Telangana government, surprised everyone. It might be noted that former TDP MLA and the party senior leader in Telangana Kothakota Dayakar Reddy yesterday said that two IPS officers, one IAS officer and two others will be arrested on the charges of phone-tapping. He asserted that there was clear evidence and those involved in the case will be prosecuted. His statements assumed significance in view of the AP government’s move to act tough on phone-tapping.
