IIIT graduate works in tea stall to clear fee dues
Chevella (Ranga Reddy), June 16: In order to pay fee dues, an IIIT graduate joined as a worker in a tea stall at Chevella. The IIIT graduate Nanna Sai Kumar hails from a poor family. He is a native of Allada village in Chevella mandal.
The student’s father died 13 years ago and his mother is bed-ridden. His brother Krishna stopped education in class 8 and started working in a hotel to feed the family.
Sai Kumar completed B Tech Mechanical Engineering course from Basara IIIT with 79 per cent marks but the institute management refused to give certificates citing fee due. Sai Kumar has to pay Rs 60,000 which includes Rs 30,000 tuition fee and Rs 30,000 mess bill.
The officials informed Sai Kumar that he has to compulsorily pay Rs 30,000 mess bill as government only sanctions tuition fee. Meanwhile, he sought the help of philanthropists and donors to clear the fee due.
