TDP to field Gitam chairman for MLC seat

Hyderabad: The Telugu Desam party has decided to field Gitam Educational Institutions chairman Dr MVVS Murthi from MLC seat under local bodies quota in Visakhapatnam district. The TDP is likely to give ticket to Pappala Chalapathi Rao for the other MLC seat in the district. Sources said Murthi’s name was recommended by Balakrishna. Murthi also worked as Visakhapatnam MP earlier. He is popularly known as ‘Goldspot’ Murthi. The party may announce Shobhahymavathi’s candidature for MLC seat in Vizianagaram district.
