Monsoon sets in over AP, TS

Hyderabad, June 13: The much-awaited south-west monsoon has set in over both the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Various places across the two states received rainfall today. According to Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) officials, moderate rains are likely to occur in both the states during the next three days. Waltair in Visakhapatnam recorded 9 cm rainfall and Macherla in Guntur received 6 cm rainfall today. With the onset of monsoon, agricultural operations picked up momentum.
