IITs reduces ST students cut-off mark from 174 t 124
Mumbai, June 13: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) has reduced the cut-off mark for Scheduled Tribes (ST) students from 177 (35 %) out of 504 to 124. The marks criteria was revised as the Admissions Committee learnt that only few students from ST community will qualify the exam this year.
The IIT JEE (Advanced) results will be released on June 18. In all 10,000 seats in IITs and other national institutes will be filled through the exam.
According to reports, the cut-off mark for OC category will be between 150-160 and for SCs and STs categories it lies in the range of 60-65 marks.
