Police reunite youth with parents after 13 years

Hyderabad, June 12: A 19-year-old youth, who went missing 13 years ago, was reunited with the parents with the help of Charminar police. Sattibabu, director of Scope India NGO, handed over the youth Anjaneyulu to Charminar police on May 8th. Sattibabu lodged a complaint that the youth went missing in Charminar area when he was six-years-old. The police enquired for Anjaneyulu’s parents Anjamma and Shiva in Arundhati Nagar, Shivaji Nagar and Uppuguda in old city but of no avail. Locals alerted the parents after the youth’s photo was published in local newspapers. The couple then approached Charminar police with the childhood photo of their son. The police inquiries revealed that Anjaneyulu is the son of the couple and they handed over the youth to his parents in the presence of South Zone DCP V Satyanarayana. The parents thanked the police and the NGO for reuniting the child with the family.
