Indian woman's verdict in stabbing case delayed in Bahrain

Dubai, June 11: The verdict on an Indian woman on trial for killing her husband in Bahrain has been delayed by three months, media reported on Thursday. The woman is accused of stabbing her husband, Siraj Al Din Ebrahim, who is also from India, 30 times at their home in Manama city in April 2014. The verdict was supposed to be out on Wednesday, reported the Gulf Daily News. Judges have adjourned the trial until September 9 to summon the rest of the prosecution witnesses. The accused woman claims that her husband took his own life by stabbing himself in the neck, chest and abdomen because of financial problems. She is charged with premeditated murder and is standing trial in Bahrain's high criminal court.
