AP Intelligence chief Anuradha refuses to accept failure, to be replaced?

Hyderabad, June 10, 2015: AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has reportedly decided to replace Intelligence IG Anuradha with Additional DGP Gautam Sawang or CID Chief Dwaraka Tirumala Rao as he felt she failed to alert the Government in advance on the exposure of TDP MLA Revanth Reddy's role and playing of tapes containing his purported conversation by TV channels. A vernacular daily has reported that Anuradha was called for the cabinet meeting on Tuesday and asked for an explanation on her reported failure but she refused to accept failure and came out with an argument that Telangana Government would have blamed her if she had poached on the activities of its ministers and officials similar to the way AP is now blaming TS officials. Reports said one or two ministers also questioned her on her failure but she told them bluntly she was not at failure and left the meeting in a huff leaving her official car in the Secretariat. It is learnt some ministers and senior IPS officials are backing Anuradha on the issue and advised Chandrababu not to replace her. However, it seems the CM has almost made up his mind to replace her at the earliest.
