ACB seeks custody of Revanth, files petition in court

Hyderabad, June 4 ,2015: The Anti Corruption Bureau on Thursday filed a petition in the ACB court here seeking 5-day custody of TDP MLA Revanth Reddy who has been jailed after being caught red handed while trying to bribe nominated MLA Stephenson seeking his vote for TDP candidate in the just concluded MLC polls. The ACB court deferred its decision for tomorrow giving time for Revanth Reddy's lawyers to file their counter. The ACB officials sought custody of Revanth Reddy , Sebastian and Uday for five days for interrogating them on sources of the currency notes seized from him. The three are in Charalapally jail. "We didn't have enough time to interrogate Revanth and the other two after their arrest. We have to find out the source of the cash found with Revanth Reddy," said ACB in its petition seeking their 5-day custody. The ACB said they should be questioned based on their phone conversations to find out the whereabouts of the Rs.4.5 Cr cash promised to the nominated MLA.
