Will Revanth give a Judas touch to cash for vote scam, implicate Chandrababu?
Hyderabad, June 3, 2015: Haunted by the fear that the jailed TDP MLA Revanth Reddy may reveal his name during interrogation by ACB officials in cash for vote scam, AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has sent two TDP MLAs , Dhulipalla Narendra Choudary and Payyavula Keshav, to Revanth Reddy on Tuesday with a message that he should not reveal his name during interrogation, according to reports published in a famous vernacular daily.
The two Chandrababu loyalists, who met him in the Charlapally jail, asked Revanth Reddy to quit his MLA post also so that the party name would not be ruined.
"If you reveal Chandrababu Naidu's name during interrogation, he would land in trouble and have to quit his CM post. You will be safe in all ways only if Chandrababu remains CM," the emissaries told Revanth.
Asking him to quit as MLA too, they told him he would get some clear assurances from Chandrababu about his political future if he does not reveal the CM's name.
Revanth Reddy bluntly rejected the suggestion that he should resign from assembly."Why should I resign ?" he reportedly shot back to them, according to the daily.
However, there are no reports on what Revanth Reddy's reaction was to the suggestion that he should not reveal Chandrababu's name.
The two emissaries have arranged a meeting between Revanth brother Kondal Reddy and Chandrababu Naidu today.
