AP capital secrets tumbling out post-Mahanadu?
Hyderabad, May 30: In a significant development, several secrets appear to be tumbling out after the conclusion of Mahanadu of Telugu Desam Party.
According to sources, the Andhra Pradesh government appears to have allocated almost 5,200 acres of land in the capital region for being developed as commercial and business zones.
Reports are also emerging that Singapore had placed a bid for the master developer position. More exciting news is that AP government is likely to hand over the 5,200 acres of land to Singapore for development purposes.
It may be recalled that AP government had been maintaining that Singapore is doing a free service to AP for designing the master plan for the capital region's development.
Now questions are being raised as to why will Singapore do a free service to AP without seeking gains?
This clearly shows that the Chandrababu Naidu government has not been sincere in its intentions with reference to capital region development and the involvement of Singapore for the same.
Now strong feelers are emerging that indicate that Singapore is likely to become the master developer of the capital region, sources said.
After all these months of unrest and deception, the AP government is now believed to be indicating that the core capital actually needs just 2000 acres of land. A resolution to this effect is believed to have been passed at the Mahanadu.
There was also an announcement at Mahanadu that the central government was releasing Rs 1500 crores for the core capital region.
Await for more clarity on the capital region and the involvement of Singapore government and that of Japan.
