TS employees opting for AP service to retire at 58 years?

Hyderabad, May 30: In a significant development, the Andhra Pradesh government is mulling over the demand of Ashok Babu, president of APNGO's association, to retire Telangana employees opting to join AP service on reaching the age of 58 years. According to sources, the AP government is reported to be seeking legal advice from the law department on this issue. The retirement age of government employees in Telangana is 58 years, while Andhra Pradesh had raised the retirement age to 60 years after the 2014 elections. Therefore, to enjoy the benefit of government service for two more years some Telangana employees had opted for AP service, alleged Ashok Babu. This is likely to hurt the interests of the AP cadre, claimed Ashok Babu and added that roughly 700 TS employees had opted for service in AP.
