Rs.8K Cr given so far for AP Capital, says Purandeswari

Kadapa, May 27, 2015: Former Union Minister and BJP leader D. Purandeswari on Wednesday castigated the opposition parties in AP saying they are carrying out false propaganda against the Centre with regard to funds sanctioned for the Polavaram Project and AP Capital city. Speaking at the Jana Kalyan Parv programme here , Purandeswari said that the Centre has so far released Rs.800 Cr for the Polavaram project and not Rs.100 Cr as being publicised by the opposition parties here. Similarly, the Centre has so far sanctioned Rs. 8000 Cr towards construction of the capital city for AP, she has revealed. Dispelling rumours that the Centre has abdicated its responsibility in granting special status to AP, the former minister said that the Narendra Modi Government is committed to implement its promise on special status and there is no question of going back on it.
