Telangana Government Transfers 20 IPS Officers: Full List of New Postings
Hyderabad: In a significant administrative overhaul, the Telangana government initiated a major reshuffle of the police department on Saturday night, transferring 20 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers across the state.
Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao issued the orders through GO Rt No. 75, effecting changes in key jurisdictions including Hyderabad, Cyberabad, Rachakonda, and Malkajgiri.
Among the prominent changes, Dr. Gajarao Bhupal, a 2008-batch officer previously serving as Joint Commissioner of Traffic, Cyberabad, has been transferred and posted as Inspector General (IG) of Police, Provisioning and Logistics. He has also been placed in full additional charge as IG, Sports and Welfare. Additionally, Abhishek Mohanty, formerly the DIG of the Telangana Narcotics Bureau, has been appointed as DIG, Vigilance and Enforcement. R. Bhaskaran, previously SP of the Intelligence CI Cell, has been promoted to the rank of DIG within the same department.
The government has also directed A. Balakoti, formerly Additional SP (Vigilance & Enforcement), to report to the Director General of Police (DGP) office.

These transfers are expected to bring operational changes to traffic management and law and order administration across the tri-commissionerates of Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda. The newly appointed officers have been instructed to assume their respective charges immediately.
