India Under-19 emerged victorious in a rain-interrupted thriller against Bangladesh Under-19, winning by 18 runs via the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method in the 7th Match at the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2026. 

The match took place at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, on January 17, 2026.Bangladesh U19 won the toss and elected to bowl first. India U19 posted a competitive total of 238 all out in 48.4 overs. Opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi top-scored with a brisk 72 off 67 balls (6 fours, 3 sixes), while wicketkeeper-batter Abhigyan Kundu anchored the innings with a patient 80 off 112 balls (4 fours, 3 sixes). The pair added valuable runs in the middle overs. Al Fahad was the standout bowler for Bangladesh, claiming a five-wicket haul (5/38 in 9.2 overs), supported by Iqbal Hossain Emon (2/45) and Azizul Hakim Tamim (2/42).

Rain disrupted proceedings, reducing Bangladesh's chase to 29 overs with a revised DLS target of 165 runs. Bangladesh made a promising start but collapsed under pressure from India's bowlers. Captain Azizul Hakim Tamim top-scored with 51 off 72 balls, and MD Rifat Beg contributed 37. However, vice-captain Vihaan Malhotra starred with the ball, taking 4 wickets for 14 runs in 4 overs, including key breakthroughs that derailed the chase. Khilan Patel chipped in with 2/35. Bangladesh were eventually bowled out for 146 in 28.3 overs.

This victory marked India's second consecutive win in the tournament, strengthening their position in the group.
