Nord Anglia and Abhaya Foundation Empower Students with Modern Skills Lab
Hyderabad: In a significant boost to skill development for government school students, the Zilla Parishad High School in Saheb Nagar inaugurated the "Nord Vocational & Science Labs" on Tuesday. The modern facility, established with a funding of Rs 35 lakhs provided by Nord Anglia Education India Limited, is set to provide vocational training to over 600 students.
Y.C. Chowdhary, Director of Nord Anglia Education India, attended the event with his team to formally inaugurate the lab and dedicate it to the student community. The project was executed under the coordination of the Abhaya Foundation. According to school officials, the construction was completed in approximately three months through the dedicated efforts of a team led by Headmaster Dinesh.
Nord Anglia, which operates a global network of premium international schools, has been consistently supporting infrastructure improvements at the Saheb Nagar school. Teachers and students described the new facility as the realization of a long-held dream. They emphasized that the lab will play a crucial role in equipping students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds with essential modern skills required for their future careers.
The inauguration was held to coincide with the observance of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti and National Youth Day, highlighting the focus on youth empowerment. The school management and students expressed deep gratitude to Nord Anglia Education for their financial assistance and to the Abhaya Foundation for successfully steering the project to completion.
