Min Prathipati: Bhumi Puja likely between Mandadam and Taallaipalem

Guntur, May 24, 2015: AP Minister Prathipati Pulla Rao said here today that arrangements are getting in place for performing Bhumi Puja for capital city on June 6. Speaking to reporters, he said Chandrababu will stay in Guntur for three days on June 5, 6 and 8 and the Bhumi Puja is likely to be performed between Mandadam and Taallaipalem. Foundation stone for the construction of the capital city will be laid by Dasara festival and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be invited , he said. The minister said that YSRCP and Congress are carrying out malicious propaganda as they do not like the new capital city and asked people not to have any misconceptions about it. He added that all farmers who had given lands for capital city would be compensated with local lands only. Meanwhile, Guntur district Collector Kantilal Dande today visited Mandadam, Venkatayapalem and Taallayapalem villages to inspect proper locations for performing Bhumi Puja. "We have identified two northeast locations to perform Bhumi Puja, " he disclosed.
