Students burn KCR's effigy on OU campus
Hyderabad, May 19 , 2015: Osmania University students on Tuesday burnt an effigy of Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhara Rao protesting against his moves to construct houses for the poor people in Osmania University lands. Asking KCR not to go ahead with his promise to the Parsigutta people that he would construct houses for them on 11 acres of Osmania University lands, the students warned they will not keep quiet if the University lands are taken away. "Take back your promise to the people, " they asked the Chief Minister. After a rally in the campus, they burnt his effigy at the Arts College. Meanwhile, the police have arrested some OU students who have gathered at Arts College Railway station in view of KCR's proposed Swachha Hyderabad at Boudhanagar.
