KTR calls on Satya Nadella, seeks investments

New York, May 19, 2015: Telangana IT and panchayat Raj Minister K.Taraka Rama Rao, now on a tour of USA, has called on Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. The two had discussed certain proposals for augmenting the Microsoft operations in the Hyderabad city. KTR's meeting with Satya Nadella is part of the Telangana Government's efforts to lure investments into the state, especially into Hyderabad city. KTR had called on CEOs of several top-notch companies earlier and requested them to invest in Hyderabad and its surroundings promising them all facilities. "Had a good meeting with @satyanadella at Microsoft HQ. Discussed several potential areas of collaboration and growth," the minister tweeted. Nadella had met Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao during his visit to Hyderabad in September last year. This was Hyderabad-born Nadella's first visit to Hyderabad after taking over as the CEO of IT behemoth. The Microsoft India Development Centre (MSIDC) in Hyderabad is Microsoft's biggest research and development centre outside of its headquarters in the US.
