99 farmers committed suicides in 1 yr, confirms TS Minister

Hyderabad, May 16: Telangana Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy today confirmed that at least 99 farmers had committed suicides in the state in the last one year. Giving this startling information, the minister said that his government was not against Congress party vice president Rahul Gandhi visiting and consoling the families of farmers who had committed suicides. He said, "What we expect is a solution to this problem." The minister observed that solutions should be found to this problem at the level of the Indian parliament.
