Ramoji Rao Was a 'Powerful System,' Not Just a Person: Venkaiah Naidu
Hyderabad: Former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu described Ramoji Group founder Ramoji Rao as a "powerful system" rather than just an individual, highlighting his immense contributions across various sectors. Naidu was speaking at the inaugural Ramoji Excellence National Awards ceremony, held at Ramoji Film City on Sunday.

He praised Ramoji Rao as a great visionary who achieved remarkable success through self-discipline and determination, setting an inspiring example for future generations. "I cannot imagine his organisations without him. He was not just a person; he was a force," Venkaiah Naidu stated. He added that Ramoji Rao believed journalism's true purpose was public good and that his journey from a simple farmer's family to global recognition is a great source of inspiration for the youth.

Venkaiah Naidu remarked that few in recent history have left as strong an imprint on public life as Ramoji Rao, whose enterprises have benefited countless people directly and indirectly. He also commended the initiative to honour distinguished personalities on Ramoji Rao's birth anniversary.

The former Vice President urged that preserving the Telugu language would be the most fitting tribute to Ramoji Rao, who he said used his newspaper for a "righteous war."

The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan as the chief guest. Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, and Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy, Ram Mohan Naidu, and Bandi Sanjay were also present.
