CII Summit a Historic Success for Andhra Pradesh: Venigandla Ramu

MLA Venigandla Ramu on Sunday announced that the recent CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam was a historic success, securing investments worth ₹13,25,716 crore and promising to create over 16 lakh jobs. He credited the achievement to the strategic efforts of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh in transforming Andhra Pradesh into a premier investment destination.

Speaking at a press conference at the Telugu Desam Party’s national office, Ramu stated that the summit was flawlessly executed, attracting numerous companies and delegates from across India and the world. "The hard work of CM Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh to make the state an investment hub is clearly visible to the people," he said.

Ramu highlighted that the government signed 613 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), which are expected to generate 16,13,188 employment opportunities. He noted that investor confidence was high even before the summit, with 35 companies committing ₹3,65,304 crore a day earlier.

Contrasting the current government's approach with the previous administration, Ramu claimed that companies like Renew, Hero Futures, and ABC, which had left the state due to "destructive policies," are now returning. He attributed this renewed interest to the government's "Speed of Doing Business" model, a step beyond the conventional "Ease of Doing Business."

"Clear policies for every sector and a single-window system for rapid approvals are major attractions for industries," Ramu explained. He emphasized that investments are being equitably distributed across Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra, and Uttarandhra, reflecting the government's commitment to decentralised development.

Drawing a parallel to Naidu’s success in bringing tech giants like Microsoft to Hyderabad in the past, Ramu said the Chief Minister has once again proven his expertise in attracting global investment. He added that Minister Lokesh personally guided companies to ensure balanced regional growth and has been motivating party leaders to "work like missiles" to accelerate the state's progress.
