RTC strike called off in TS too, KCR announces 44% fitment
Hyderabad, May 13: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today announced that the TSRTC strike has been called of by RTC employees belonging to TS.
He announced that after prolonged discussions with the RTC union leaders, the Telangana government had agreed to give 44 per cent fitment on the basic pay to the RTC employees with effect from June salary.
With regards to arrears, the chief minister said 50 per cent of the arrears will be given in the form of government bonds and the balance will be paid to the employees in three installments on Dasara, Ugadi (2016) and Dasara (2016).
He said the bonds will have a five year tenure.
KCR further announced that all the cases filed on the RTC employees during the strike period will be withdrawn.
He further announced that the jobs of the contract employees will be made permanent.
The chief minister then announced that all retired RTC employees will get the facility of free travel in RTC buses.
